I was born and raised in India and attended medical school there, moving to the United States in 2003. I completed a master’s degree in Public Health in Epidemiology at Tulane University in New Orleans before enrolling at LSU Health Sciences Center- Shreveport for my internship and residency training in pediatrics. I completed my training in pediatrics in 2008 and since then have been practicing pediatrics in Shreveport.
For five years I worked as a pediatric emergency room physician at another hospital, which offered me a wealth of experience. I also worked in pediatric urgent care for a few months before joining Willis-Knighton.
I have been board certified in Pediatrics (American Board of Pediatrics) in 2008 and am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Northwest Louisiana Pediatric Society.
I have been married since 2002. My husband is a practicing cardiologist in Shreveport . We have been blessed with two daughters who keep us happily busy.
In my spare time I like to catch up with my extended family and my old friends. I like to cook and am always trying to cook something new.
